About
BTI was founded in 1900 as a telephone company. Today, we’re St. Croix County's largest local provider of phone, internet, and cable services.
We’re focused on providing our customers with the best technology and advanced features in communications. We deliver digital services, provide faster Internet and clearer phone service, and deliver innovative programming.
Baldwin Telecom (BTI), a locally owned and operated company, and has been providing telephone service to the Baldwin and Woodville, Wisconsin communities since 1900. In 1982 the Board of Directors made the decision to provide cable television services in the villages of Baldwin and Woodville. When residents in the surrounding communities heard about the new service, they asked Baldwin Telecom to bring the service to them. Thus, BTI provides high Speed Internet and Cable Television in the villages of Hammond, Knapp, Roberts and most recently, in the Hudson Township. Now we are expanding to the rural area. Baldwin Telecom is committed to providing the latest communications technology.
When you experience a problem with your service and/or billing, your calls are answered and handled by local technicians/customer service representatives. We have an investment in the communities that we serve. We have obtained more than a million dollars in zero interest loans from RUS for expansion of local businesses. BTI provides scholarships to help young individuals in the community fund their higher education. In 2002 Baldwin Telecom was recognized as the first independent telco in the state to deploy Fiber-To-The-Home technology. BTI is more than a telephone company. BTI is a Broadband company providing all of the latest technologies including home phone, high speed Internet, and video television entertainment with a local touch.
